History - About Ourselves and the Company
We are a modern and family-owned enterprise. Together with our staff of 50 committed people, we develop, produce and sell gymnastics and leisure shoes at the European market.
The foundation of the company can be traced back to the year 1928: Alois Beck manufactured gymnastics shoes for sports clubs in his house in Oedheim. Due to reasons of age, the two-man business was sold to Roland Bendeich in 1969. The headquarters was moved to Erlenbach. The business development was extremely positive and so the sole proprietorship was changed into a limited company in 1978. Roland Bendeich became Managing Director and shareholder. The growing size of orders required more space: a hall with offices, warehouse and production area was built in the industrial park of Erlenbach in 1987. In 2002, the warehouse was extended to 3,000 square metres.
Meanwhile our assortment includes not only gymnastics shoes but also all kinds of children´s shoes which are marketed and distributed as Beck Gymnastikschuhe, Bubblegummers, Captain Bluebear and other current licence brands.
We solely produce at our own production plants or at exclusive partners´ in eastern Europe, the Middle East and Far East. Furthermore, we also produce, change, improve and/or print shoe series in Erlenbach where flexibility is at it´s very best. This enables us on the one hand to react to our clients´ demands fast and flexibly and on the other hand, we can guarantee reasonable and competitive prices.
Reliable contacts both at our premises and a competent sales force, partly with own show rooms, are in charge of sales and distribution in Germany, Austria, Luxemburg, France and Switzerland.
